Our Story

Through a dream of Wallace and Charlotte they embarked upon opening a Christian Bookstore. This store came into fruition on November 1, 1990. Wallace and Charlotte started the business in the den of their home. The business increased and the Evans built their current store in 1994. The goal was to encourage patrons to read more to become more knowledgeable about the bible and to provide black history materials for the surrounding schools, a void that needed to be filled.

Pastor Wallace Evans was a First Lieutenant in the United States Army. He is a graduate of Costal Carolina University, BA and MA from Webster University. His work experience include: Horry County Department of Social Services and Waccamaw Mental Health. He is married to Rev. Charlotte Evans and they have two children and eight grandchildren. his pastoral experience includes St. Elizabeth MBC, Aynor; Sweet Gum MBC, Loris; and St. Peter MBC, Burgess. 

Rev. Charlotte Evans is a native of Cape Girardeau, Missouri. She is a graduate of Costal Carolina University and Cathedral Bible College. Charlotte holds a BA degree in Psychology and a Master Degree in Christian Ministry. Her work experience includes: Horry County Public Schools and Waccamaw Economic Oppurtunity Council.
